Hi there, This is a quick blurb to give you an idea of how I’ve come to facilitate these meditation and day away retreats. Since 1991, I have been practicing meditation in various forms and have been facilitating to business and corporate groups since 1997. I released my first relaxation CD, “A Moment for Myself” in 2006.
After completing the training for Mindfulness Meditation Level 1 at University of Toronto, (2007) I began to offer Mindfulness Meditation workshops. One of my favourite things to do is plan and facilitate Day Away retreats. These retreats are designed to provide an opportunity for women to take a time out and let someone else do the planning and prepare lunch! Participants not only learn useful and simple techniques for relaxation but are also able to "just be in the moment" free of schedules, phones and demands, even if only for one day!
More about these can be found on the Day Away and Mindfulness Page.
Born and raised in Norfolk County, I have worked in the social service sector for over 30 years. Recently, semi retired (November 2016), I became certified in Restorative Yoga, and have combined both modalities of Mindfulness Meditation and Restorative Yoga to create a time of Comfort and Care in Day and Overnight Retreats for women. I am very happy to custom design a retreat for your work group or group of friends and family.

Welcome ALL mothers who are bereaved. There is no time frame on our grief., if your loss was longer ago or recent. Each of us has experienced the death of a child. We gather together to support, gain strength and provide comfort. Please do not hesitate to contact me for a chat and learn more about who I am, what this is all about, and discuss if this is good timing for you.
