Mindful Living Program

  

 

The Mindfulness Based Stress Management Program is an approach to self-care that focuses on learning to effectively cope with life, loss, illness and chronic pain. A good friend shared a more simple understanding of the Mindfulness practice:

 

 

 

Mindfulness is about really getting to know oneself with understanding, acceptance, love, and compassion to create a happier, more joyful, more successful, more meaningful, and more loving life for ourselves and those around us.” Jackie

 

During your day retreat for Mindful Living, you will partake in the experiential practice of some basics of the Mindfulness practice while taking time out for you to reenergize and reconnect. You will participate in four mindfulness techniques and receive handouts to take home that will help you sustain mindful living at home and at work.

A Day Away

 

 

 

Needing some R & R but not sure how to fit it in and wish someone else would plan it for you?

 

 

This "Day Away" is a time out for relaxation and self care.  We will do some restorative yoga and mindfulness meditation.  You will be served a nutritious and organic lunch.  There is time built in for journaling, reading, individual self reflection or snoozing.  This will be a small group of women, and nothing will be asked of you other than to show up.

Kimberly Ryan 

  is a bereaved mother. Her son Matthew died suddenly in August 2009 at the age of 27 as a result of complications from addictions. Kimberly had been involved in meditation and alternative health modalities long before the tragic loss of her son, and now uses her knowledge and wellness background to offer a place for other moms who are bereaved. She does this as a give back or pay it forward; this is a not for profit offering, and she is always seeking practitioners who will donate their time to the moms.

   Welcome ALL mothers who are bereaved. There is no time frame on our grief, whether your loss was long ago or recent. Each of us has experienced the death of a child.
