"I am a bereaved mother of 4 months. In the 4 months since my son's death I have read everything I could get my hands on regarding grief and how to cope. While the books and information were helping me understand the process, I knew that I needed more than just a book if I was going to make it through this. I found Kimberly's website where she was offering a retreat for bereaved mothers. Thankfully, I was fortunate enough to get into her next retreat. The group setting was perfect; small, intimate, and provided personal space when needed.
Kimberly's background with grief work and health and wellness are the perfect combination and remedy for healing. I left the retreat with a better sense of where I was but more importantly how I would successfully navigate through the rest of my life with this pain. I have to also mention, being surrounded by other mothers that could relate to my pain was more helpful that I had anticipated. I am grateful to their honesty and ability to share their story and listen to mine with love and support.
I will forever be thankful to Kimberly for her mission to help other mothers. The love and care that she puts into these retreats in incredible."
"You put so much into the planning of the Weekend that
your caring just soothingly brought us from one part of the Retreat to the
next with a seemingly seamless effort. That is a sure sign of a well-thought out and executed event. For that I thank you. Thank you too, for making it safe enough for me, after many many months, to cry--really cry, about my loss. Every night since I came home I have lit a candle for him and I take such comfort in knowing that it is just a little private "visit" between just him and me."
"I wanted to thank you for last weekend .... everything was just
perfect. I can only imagine the number of hours of preparation it took you to
put it all together! It was a completely different kind of weekend for me ...
I've not had a weekend like that before. Driving home I felt so relaxed and had
such a nice sense of peace within me - hard to describe.
It was a real pleasure to meet you, and Michelle, Brenda and Chris
were just ever so nice. Chris sure has a lot of talents. Her cooking, her
decorating skills, her singing and guitar playing all added so much to an
already perfect weekend!"
"Good morning Kimberly:
Gary and I had a very pleasant drive home from the retreat, and surprisingly made it in just 5 ½ hours this time. It was a record. Last week started busy as usual, but I have been carving out some (my) time each day. I was very glad that I
attended, and as a result, I have taken away some unique experiences and
insights that I would not have otherwise had.
You had an incredibly likeminded, compassionate and courageous group of ladies. I felt humbled to be sharing this personal and intimate time with them. We were not strangers, but spiritual friends, that I had not yet met. The room held an energy that was exceptionally powerful….a spirit of humanity…..rarely experienced.
Your amazing hospitality set the stage for us to open not only our minds but our hearts to embrace each other and the pain of our common losses."
"When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares."
"I wish you along with these inspirational ladies a wonderful summer and all the peace and happiness you all so abundantly deserve.
Hugs to everyone, Yvonne"

is a bereaved mother. Her son Matthew died suddenly in August 2009 at the age of 27 as a result of complications from addictions. Kimberly had been involved in meditation and alternative health modalities long before the tragic loss of her son, and now uses her knowledge and wellness background to offer a place for other moms who are bereaved. She does this as a give back or pay it forward; this is a not for profit offering, and she is always seeking practitioners who will donate their time to the moms.

Dates for the next retreat will be posted soon tentatively for the end of May 2020.
Please contact Kimberly to register as space is limited.
Welcome ALL mothers who are bereaved. There is no time frame on our grief, whether your loss was long ago or recent. Each of us has experienced the death of a child.
We gather together for self care, support, and comfort. Please do not hesitate to contact me for a chat and learn more about who I am, what this is all about, and discuss if this is good timing for you.
